What is HVO?

HVO (Hydrotreated vegetable oil), a sustainable fuel, is made from 100% renewable waste and is fossil-free. It is produced through a process called hydrotreatment and is cleaner burning than traditional fossil diesel fuels, producing lower greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants, and it ensures a longer shelf life too as it has better low-temperature performance than traditional diesel oil.

Who can use HVO?

As HVO is compatible with existing diesel engines and plant, and no modifications are needed, it is a drop-in alternative that can be used by a variety of organisations as a replacement for traditional diesel oil.

It can be used in agriculture, construction, industry, manufacturing, transportation and many other sectors. Quite simply, it can be used in any vehicles or plant that run on diesel.
